Responsibilities Include:

• Reporting and writing stories for the Litigation Daily.
• Developing sources, gathering news, and supporting stories in other areas of the magazine and on the web.
• Establishing and broadening a base of industry contacts
• Identifying and acting on story opportunities.

?Requirements Include:

• Bachelors Degree in Journalism, English or related field of study.
• Master?s degree preferred.
• Three years of legal and/or business journalism experience.
• Must be able to write quickly and accurately on tight deadlines.
• Ability to develop ongoing source relationships.
• Strong reporting and writing skills.
• Good interviewing skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong nose for news.
• Some familiarity with the nation?s largest law firms is a big plus.
• Training and experience as a lawyer is helpful, but not required.
• Familiarity with online litigation databases (such as the federal Pacer system and court Web sites) is helpful.
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
