Hiya...
So im a step mum of DSD 6 .have been since she was 18 months....DSD lives 7 miles away and we have access 2-3 nighs a week term time and anything upto 7 nights in school holidays... We would like 50/50 but house prices near her mum are too much for our family.. Me OH DS1 age 3 and DS2 age 2
what i want to know is how many step parents have their step child without step childs bio parent being there your OH...and not occasionally but every week?
My OH is working away thursday -saturday this week... But today i am collecting DSD from school.. (im a sahm..we cant afford child care).. And will keep her until her mum finishes work on friday tea...so as her dad will be away from tomorrow morning it will be just me DSD DS1 and DS2..
DSD mum only has DSD so she will have ample free time where as i will have 3 under 6... I did try to get out of said child care but DSD wants half CM cost we just haven't got it.. I will also point out DSD mum dose get maintenance from my OH and we buy everything at this home for her and put to towards her uniform every year...
Am i in a minority... I cant help feel im being taken for a mug by DSD mum...
I love my DSD lots but i feel as though i get the lions share of taking care of her...its hard work being a hands on step parent..
